Young Bakers World Championship

UIPCG – International Union of Bakers.

ARESP (Restauration Association of Portugal) has organised for the 3th time the World Young Bakers League,an important competition with the most promising talents in this sector participanting. Fifteen young bakers from all around the world created their entries live.

The japanese Kengo Akabame toke the title. He obtained the highest marks in all the diferent parts of the process.

The second and third positions went to Johannes Gruber (Germany) and Marane Haider (Austria).

All visitors had the oportunity to see the entries and talk with the contestants.

Taça Horexpo

Taça Horexpo or the Horexpo's cup was a live challenge between some of the most prestigious chefs in Portugal, who had a time limit of two and a half hours to prepare two winning main courses.

The dishes were judged by an expert panel, and some of the audience were also able to get in on the action and taste them. In all, the Horexpo's cup was an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals to see the best of the indsutry at work.
